Scope of Testing
As per NABL Accreditation :- All Chemical and Biological Parameters of Drinking Water ( IS 10500 : 1991 ) Packaged Drinking water other than Packaged Natural Mineral Water ( IS 14543 : 2004 ) Packaged Natural Mineral Water ( IS 13428 : 1998 ) Water for Food Process Industry ( IS 4251 : 1967 ) Water as per WHO Standards, Water and Ice as pr - 98/83/EC and Waste Water.
All Heavy Metals in Food and Agriculrutal Products, Spices & Spice Products, Marine & Farmed Aquatic Products, Fruits, Beverages etc and Herbal Products, Ceramics, Soil Clay etc under environmental products scope.
As per KSPCB approval :- Monitoring and Analysis of Ambient Air Quality, Stack Emission, Hazardous Wastes, Waste water etc and Noise Pollution Measurements.
Sophisticated Instruments and Major Functions
- Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS/MS) model "Varian Saturn 2200". Employed to detect pesticides and other organics to microgram per litre levels. Validation and standardization of Organic products possible. also employed for detecting Gaseous Organic Pollutants.
- Gas Chromatograph ( GC) model "Chemito 8610". Employed for routine quality assessment of essential oils and similar products using packed or capillary columns.
- Inductively Coupled Plasma - Optical Emission System (ICP/OEP) model "Varian 710-ES". To detect any heavy metal in trace levels in one step to check contamination in both consumables and non consumables. Also can be used for Environmental Pollution Monitoring in waste water, solid wastes, gaseous streams etc.
- High Pressure Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) model "SHIMADSU- 10 A x L ". Used for both quality assessment of products and to assess contaminants like afla toxins.
- Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) model "Chemito AA203". Using cathode lamps, heavy metals monitored in samples to mg/l levels. In trace levels ICP-OES is engaged.
- Fourier Transform Infra-red Spectrometer (FTIR) model "SHIMADSU 8600 ". Mainly used for detecting Mineral Oil Contamination in drinking water. Finds application in Pharma products quality testing.
- Ultra Violet-Visible Spectrophotometer, (UV-Vis) model " Chemito Spectroscan" . Engaged for testing parameters in UV as well as visible range wavelengths. Finds application in pollution monitoring as well as product quality testing, especially Pharma field.
